CARRY ON - продолжать
We must try to carry on as if nothing had happened. 

CLEAN UP - прибирать, приводить в порядок, делать генеральную уборку
This room needs cleaning up. 

SWITCH OFF - выключать радиоприёмник
Why did you switch off the radio? I was enjoying the music. 

разг. заставить замолчать
Once he starts telling his favourite adventures, it's impossible to switch him off.

HOLD UP - грабить; обирать
to hold up a bank останавливать, задерживать
The building of the new road has been held up by bad weather. 
I have been held up in traffic. 

RIDE ON = depend on - зависеть
There is a great deal of money riding on the results of these studies

SHUT UP - разг. (заставить) замолчать
shut up! — замолчи!, заткнись!
Tell him it's his own fault; that should shut him up.

GET ON WITH IT - продолжать ( после перерыва)
continue doing something, especially after an interruption:
I’ve got to get on with this job

THINK ON - разг. помнить
I'll get that letter written now, while I think on. — Я напишу это письмо сейчас, пока не забыл. 

TAKE OFF - cнимать одежду
She took off her cardigan.

RUN AWAY - бежать, уклоняться от (чего-л.); избегать (чего-л.)
He was so unhappy that he tried to run away from school.
